The company was founded in 1992 by a small family in Narberth, Pennsylvania, under County Carpet Care. Over the first five years of business, we subcontracted with other carpet cleaning companies to establish a base while acquiring commercial carpet cleaning contracts with local restaurants and hotels.
As our business grew, we began to form relationships with local carpet companies to provide a referral network of clients that needed cleaning and upkeep of their carpets. Over time, we received more and more calls for water and mold damage jobs. This is when we saw an opportunity to grow in the restoration industry.
In 1998, Michael McCullough, the company’s founder, married his wife Allyson and moved to West Chester, PA. There, they continued serving customers with two crews for carpet cleaning and a third for water mitigation out of a 1,500 sq foot facility, connecting with local plumbing companies for water and sewer damage and mold remediation. This is how County Action Restoration was born and grew into different fields of property damage restoration.
Since 1998, we have been certified by the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC), a non-profit organization for the Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Industries, and helped thousands of homeowners and businesses with the smallest water damage restoration jobs and mold remediation, to the most severe floods and tornadoes we had over our region.
