Mike and his team at County Action Restoration took excellent care of us when we discovered two leaks that had seriously affected two different areas of our home. Mike came out promptly to assess the damage and returned later to capture some additional information that he incorporated into a broader restoration plan. He was responsive throughout the process, patiently explaining how the work would be done and even drawing diagrams to illustrate the approach. When we realized that a big part of the plan would require waiting until the spring (to avoid freezing temperatures), Mike immediately suggested that we push ahead with a smaller carveout of the larger project so that we could bring one bathroom back online quickly in time for the holiday season. His team member, Dave, came out twice last week to complete that work and coordinated tightly with our longtime plumber to ensure everything fell into place swiftly and sequentially. Dave was outstanding and very personable, walking us through the work and discussing the various stages as he completed them. The end result is a bathroom that is not only fully functional but also so completely restored and polished that you would not know it required it a big repair. We are so pleased with the work and look forward to completing the rest of the project with Mike, Dave, and their colleagues this spring!

Mike McCullough and County Action Restoration helped us in so many ways when our cast iron sewer pipe broke under our house. Our house is built on a concrete slab with a sewer pipe 3 feet under the slab. Once determining the pipe was broken and causing the clogging, our plumber Tim Dean explained the only way to remedy the problem was to replace the cast iron pipe with PVC. To do that would entail cutting through the slab in the kitchen, rec room, pantry closet, powder room, laundry room and the front walkway. Tim suggested Mike McCullough and County Action Restoration. We met with Mike and quickly decided to use County Action Restoration for the entire project. Mike assumed the role of liaison with our insurance company as well as all the contractors and suppliers from slab demo and restoration to all new kitchen cabinets, counter tops, backsplash, flooring (tile and carpet), painting all rooms, and remodeling. Mike’s liaison with the insurance company was huge and resulted in virtually the entire project being covered by insurance. The only out-of-pocket for us were upgrades not covered by insurance. If you incur damage to your home from fire, water, falling trees, whatever, I highly recommend Mike and his team at County Action Restoration.

The staff at County Action went above and beyond to ease my stress during my time of need. Dave was efficient and polite answering all of my questions and doing the best he could possible in setting up the equipment in a way that wouldn't interfere with everyday interaction. When they made the repairs everything went smoothly and when they left they made sure the house was clean. I even decided to used them again to clean my carpets and my sofa. They're like a one stop shop! I highly recommend County Action.

The Critical Role of Rapid Water Extraction

Water damage compounds with every passing hour. Left in place, moisture travels beneath flooring, penetrates behind walls, and saturates drywall and insulation, extending the destruction well past the original point of loss. That’s why genuine emergency water extraction requires far more than clearing away visible puddles.

Our comprehensive approach is built to:

The difference comes down to timing. Respond quickly, and the damage stays contained. Delay, and it continues to spread — turning a manageable situation into an extensive and expensive one.

Discover Our Emergency Water Extraction Procedure

Immediate Emergency Response

We are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, whenever water damage occurs. The moment you reach out, we collect essential details about the source and scope of the intrusion, then mobilize the appropriate resources without delay. A prompt response is often the single most important factor in limiting the extent of the damage.

Comprehensive Water and Moisture Evaluation

Our technicians conduct a thorough inspection of every affected area and deploy professional moisture-detection equipment to trace precisely where the water has migrated. This includes the concealed moisture that remains invisible to the eye. By understanding the full reach of the intrusion from the outset, we ensure we don’t overlook any problem areas.

Commercial-Grade Water Extraction

Using high-capacity, commercial-grade extraction equipment, we remove standing and excess water rapidly and efficiently. Removing bulk water at this stage speeds the drying process and significantly reduces the risk of secondary damage to your property.

Structural Drying and Dehumidification

We position air movers and commercial dehumidifiers with deliberate precision, drawing residual moisture out of both the building materials and the surrounding air. Each piece of equipment is placed strategically, based on the specific conditions of the affected space, to create the optimal environment for complete drying.

Measurement-Driven Moisture Monitoring

We never assume when drying is complete. We verify it with data. Throughout the process, we continually monitor moisture conditions and confirms that all affected materials have reached their established drying goals. This measurement-driven approach guarantees that the work is finished only when the numbers prove it.

Detailed Documentation and Recommended Next Steps

Our team of certified experts utilizes the latest technology to hunt down every drop of hidden moisture within your materials and restore them to their ideal level. Only the best tools for each situation are selected, ensuring you get results that surpass industry standards every time.

The Hidden Moisture That Causes the Greatest Damage

The most expensive assumption after a water loss is believing the problem is solved because the floor looks dry. In reality, it seldom is. The water you can see is only a fraction of the concern, and the moisture you can’t see is where the real threat lies.

Water migrates far beyond the visible damage, working its way into the materials and cavities you would never think to check. It commonly settles:

We combine rapid emergency extraction with professional moisture detection to reveal the full scope of the intrusion. We do more than locate standing water. We trace exactly where it traveled, identify every affected material, and stop the moisture at its source before it leads to warping, rot, or mold.

Residential Emergency Water Extraction

It doesn’t take a flood to cause serious harm to your home. A ruptured supply line, a failing water heater, an overflowing washing machine, or a slow leak concealed inside your walls can release hundreds of gallons in a matter of minutes. The result is often far more extensive than what appears at the surface.

We provide residential emergency water extraction throughout the entire home, from basements and kitchens to bathrooms, utility rooms, living areas, and finished living spaces. Wherever water has reached, we respond with the equipment and expertise to address it fully.

Our objective remains consistent on every job: contain the spread, extract the water, locate the hidden moisture, and begin the drying process without delay.

Commercial Emergency Water Extraction

For a business, water damage extends well past the structure itself. It interrupts your employees, unsettles your customers and tenants, threatens your inventory and equipment, and brings daily operations to a standstill. Every hour of downtime carries a real cost.

We deliver rapid commercial water extraction across our entire service area, responding to emergencies in a wide range of properties, including:

We resolve the loss efficiently and give owners and property managers a clear understanding of the affected areas along with the specific steps required to restore normal operations. Our goal is to help you return to business with as little disruption as possible.

Does Insurance Cover Emergency Water Extraction?

Coverage ultimately depends on the source of the damage and the specific terms of your policy. Insurers typically distinguish sudden, accidental events from issues such as long-term leaks, deferred maintenance, groundwater intrusion, or flooding, and each is handled differently.

When you file a claim, County Action Restoration supplies thorough documentation of the affected areas and the mitigation work we perform, giving you dependable support throughout the process.

One critical point deserves emphasis: never postpone emergency mitigation while waiting to hear from your insurer. Preventing further damage is a fundamental responsibility following any water loss. Acting quickly safeguards both your property and the strength of your claim.

Emergency Water Extraction: Answers to Your Most Common Questions

Immediately. Standing water and excess moisture continue migrating into new materials with every passing hour, steadily expanding the damage. The faster extraction begins, the more of your property you can protect. County Action Restoration responds 24/7 to contain the loss quickly.

Minor spills are often manageable on your own. Larger intrusions, however, spread beneath flooring and into wall cavities where household equipment simply cannot reach. Professional extraction paired with moisture detection reveals the true scope of the loss, ensuring hidden water is addressed before it causes lasting harm.

No. Extraction removes bulk and standing water, while structural drying pulls residual moisture out of building materials and the surrounding air. Both are essential. Extraction handles the water you can see, and structural drying resolves the moisture you cannot.

We rely on moisture measurements and ongoing monitoring rather than how a surface looks or feels. Our technicians track readings throughout the process and confirm completion only when every affected material reaches its established drying goal. This measurement-driven approach removes the guesswork.

Yes. Lingering moisture creates ideal conditions for microbial growth, often within 24 to 48 hours. Rapid extraction and thorough drying significantly reduce that risk by limiting how long materials stay wet.

Yes. We provide complete water-damage mitigation along with professional mold inspection and remediation, allowing a single team to manage the entire process from start to finish.

Yes. County Action Restoration serves both residential and commercial properties, including offices, retail spaces, multifamily buildings, and institutional facilities. We work to resolve the loss efficiently and minimize disruption to your operations.

Yes. County Action Restoration documents the affected areas and the mitigation work performed, including photos, moisture readings, and drying logs. This provides dependable support for your claim, though all coverage decisions remain with your insurance carrier.

Costs vary based on the volume of water, the size of the affected area, the materials involved, and the extent of hidden moisture. A small, contained spill is far less involved than widespread flooding across multiple rooms. County Action Restoration evaluates the specific conditions on site and provides a clear picture of the scope before work begins, so you understand what to expect.

Bulk water extraction is often completed within the first visit, while complete structural drying typically takes several days. The exact timeline depends on the materials affected, how far the moisture traveled, and site conditions. County Action Restoration monitors progress with daily readings and confirms completion only when the numbers verify that materials are fully dry.

If it’s safe to do so, stop the water source and shut off power to affected areas to reduce electrical hazards. Move valuables, electronics, and furniture out of standing water, and avoid walking through contaminated water. Do not use household vacuums on standing water. Once we arrive, our technicians take over with commercial-grade equipment.

County Action restoration uses commercial-grade extraction units to remove standing and excess water rapidly, followed by high-capacity air movers and professional dehumidifiers to draw remaining moisture from materials and the surrounding air. We also rely on professional moisture-detection tools to map hidden water and track drying progress throughout the job.

In many cases, yes. Items addressed quickly, before moisture soaks in deeply, have a much stronger chance of recovery. Non-porous materials and solid surfaces are often salvageable, while heavily saturated porous items may not be. County Action Restoration assesses each affected material and prioritizes fast extraction and drying to preserve as much as possible.

Water losses are generally grouped into three categories based on contamination. Category 1 involves clean water from a source such as a supply line, Category 2 (often called gray water) carries some contaminants from sources like appliance overflows, and Category 3 (black water) is heavily contaminated from sewage or flooding. The category directly affects the safety precautions and handling required, and County Action Restoration adjusts its approach accordingly.

Call a professional whenever water has spread beyond a small, easily wiped surface, reached flooring or walls, or come from a contaminated source. Any situation involving hidden moisture, saturated building materials, or potential mold warrants professional attention. When in doubt, reach out to us 24/7. A quick assessment is far less costly than damage left unaddressed.
